Carolina Dozer clears wooded and overgrown property for homesites, driveways, views, fields, building pads, access roads and larger site-development projects. Mountain land clearing requires more than simply pushing vegetation aside; access, slopes, drainage, stump removal, debris handling and final grading all affect what the property is ready for afterward.
Our crews can remove trees and brush, grub stumps, handle debris, open equipment access, reshape disturbed ground and prepare burn piles where appropriate and permitted. Because we also provide grading, site preparation and driveway construction, a clearing project can transition directly into the next stage without bringing in another earthwork contractor.
For new construction, clearing is often the first part of a larger sequence that includes driveway access, building-pad excavation, drainage and rough grading. Carolina Dozer has completed large-acreage clearing in Boone and homesite clearing in Millers Creek and other mountain communities. On steep properties, we plan access and staging before major clearing begins so equipment can work safely and material can be managed efficiently.
The end condition matters. Some properties only need vegetation opened up, while others need stumps removed, debris burned or hauled, grades reshaped and the area stabilized. We discuss what the site needs to be ready for next so clearing does not create extra work for the builder or property owner.
Where clearing changes how runoff moves across a slope, we can incorporate drainage and surface-water mitigation and erosion-control planning. That is especially important on steep mountain sites where newly disturbed soil can erode quickly during heavy rain.
