SERVICES

Carolina Dozer builds and repairs driveways, private roads, mountain access roads and construction entrances throughout Western North Carolina. A road that looks good on day one still needs the right alignment, grade, drainage, base material and water shedding to hold up through heavy rain, delivery traffic and mountain weather.
New road construction can include clearing, rough excavation, cut-and-fill, widening, grade correction, ditch construction, culvert installation, stabilization of soft areas and placement of aggregate. On steep properties, we pay close attention to how the road meets the existing terrain so water is encouraged to leave the travel surface rather than follow it downhill.
Existing roads can often be improved without a total rebuild. We repair washouts, reshape crown and cross-slope, rebuild ditches, replace culverts, stabilize weak sections and spread new gravel after the underlying problems are corrected. For focused repair work, see our gravel driveway repair and driveway drainage and culvert installation services.
Mountain roads frequently fail because runoff is concentrated on the road surface. Culverts, ditches, broad swales, outlets and road pitch all work together. When the drainage issue extends beyond the driveway, our surface-water mitigation work can address runoff coming from upper slopes, neighboring roads or larger portions of the property.
Carolina Dozer has completed long mountain driveway construction near Blowing Rock and road work across Boone, Deep Gap, Ferguson and Wilkes County. Our crews use excavators, dozers, skid steers and hauling equipment suited for steep terrain and changing access conditions. Because we also haul and spread gravel, material delivery can stay coordinated with the grading process.
We work across Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, West Jefferson, Wilkesboro, Ferguson, Deep Gap and surrounding communities. Schedule a site assessment if a driveway is washing out, too steep, soft, difficult to maintain or needs to be built correctly from the start.
