SERVICES

Carolina Dozer repairs gravel driveways and private roads throughout Western North Carolina. Mountain roads commonly develop ruts, potholes, soft sections and washouts when the road surface loses its shape or runoff begins traveling down the driveway. Our goal is to correct the grade and drainage first, then rebuild the driving surface with the appropriate stone.
A load of gravel can temporarily cover a problem without fixing it. We evaluate crown, cross-slope, ditch condition, culverts, outlets and the base beneath the road. Repairs may include cutting out soft material, adding larger stone for stabilization, reshaping the road, rebuilding ditches, installing culverts, correcting entrances and spreading ABC or other aggregate as the finished surface.
For deeper water problems, we can combine driveway work with culvert installation and surface-water mitigation. For new roads or major reconstruction, see our Driveway & Private Road Construction service.
The right aggregate depends on what the road needs. Compacted ABC is commonly used for a dense driving surface, while clean stone can be useful in wet or unstable sections that need drainage and structure. Carolina Dozer can haul and spread material as part of the repair so the stone arrives when the grading work is ready for it.
We repair driveways in Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, West Jefferson, Wilkesboro, North Wilkesboro, Ferguson, Millers Creek and surrounding areas. Schedule a site assessment if the driveway is washing out, difficult to climb, holding water or requiring constant gravel replacement.
