Retaining the change in elevation

Large concrete blocks form a retaining wall between the wooded upper slope and the lower access area. The wall steps into the surrounding grade at its end.

Finishing the surrounding ground

The adjoining soil was shaped around the wall and covered with erosion-control matting. The finished work brings the wall, slope and gravel edge together in a clean transition.
